Ingredients

  • 16 oz linguine
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz can of mushrooms
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper

Instructions

  1. Halve the chicken breast along the length.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and dredge in the flour.
  3. In a large skillet combine olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  4. Heat over medium-high heat until oil and butter become thin, about 3 minutes.
  5. Sauté chicken in skillet until exterior is golden and crispy. About 4 minutes per side.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and set chicken aside.
  7. Heat a large pot of water for the pasta. Add salt if desired.
  8. Place the remaining 2 tbs butter in skillet. Once the butter has melted add in the garlic and mushrooms and sauté for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  9. Once water is boiling, add linguine. Cook according to directions on pasta.
  10. Add lemon juice, garlic pepper, and chicken broth to the skillet. Deglaze the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon and cook for about 5 minutes.
  11. Stir in the heavy whipping cream and add the chicken to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes. The sauce should thicken.
  12. Drain the pasta. Plate some linguine first and then add chicken and sauce on top. Enjoy!
