Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasonings
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasonings (or red pepper flakes)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 lb. lean Italian pork sausage (salsiccia)
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cub grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 44oz. jar of pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup red wine
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat egg with salt, Italian seasoning, garlic, and Cajun seasoning.
- Add chopped onion, beef, pork, bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Shape into 2" balls and place into 5 qt. slow cooker.
- Once all of your meat has been shaped, mix pasta sauce with wine in bowl and pour over meatballs.
- Cover and cook on low for about 6 1/2 hours.
